"The Reader" & "Good"

Recently I had the opportunity to see the DVD of the very upsetting actually shocking documentary entitled "Der Unbekannte Soldat The Unknown Solder" subtitle-What did you do in the War, Dad? directed by Michael Verhoeven. This movie explores the relationship of the German Army & the SS. There was an exhibit documenting the role of the German foot soldier in horrific acts-crimes against humanity. The exhibit stirred alot of intergenerational contact & discussion including among the far right who claimed falsification. Copies of this DVD are available at the NYPL.

& one film reaction posted for "Good" asked : "did the Nazis really have computer hole punch cards in the 1940s?" Yes & the work was contracted out to ??? IBM of the USA. I was suprised that this was not mentioned in the film.
