“I very much enjoyed this film.  Nice relationships between the three women.  I first had a difficulty with the ages of Christine Baranski and Jessica Lange and then realized the father married someone much younger.”

“A sweet ride!  ‘THELMA AND LOUISE’ with a death as the prequel instead of the ending.  And who couldn’t love each of those three great characters and the performances of those great actresses. Most brilliant detail was the cell phone screech ring for Francine.”

“The movie tried to deal with serious issues: death, family dysfunction.  The cast was great.  Wonderful photography.   I found the young man to be charming.”

“I absolutely loved it! Fun, sentimental and satisfying!”

“A little predictable.  You knew Carol would win the jackpot and replace the ashes.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  ‘THELMA AND LOUISE’ plus one but only the man dies.”

“A wonderfully warm tribute to women and their friendships.  ‘Happiness is just a thing called Joe’.  And what a lucky man he was!”

“An interesting subject in a treatment that is very saccharine and too pretty.  Excellent acting and beautiful cinematography.  What a beautiful country we have!  Joe was not made real to us and the situation of his daughter was not made real to us either.  A good film for The Lifetime Channel, but sadly lacking in real stature.  Too bad!”

“Very clichéd!”

“Somebody tried to pitch a film at us old broads.  But how patronizing all that giggling and screeching,”

“Wonderful ensemble acting. Moving story about loss and learning to let go, a little at a time, while holding on to memories.  The ashes were very symbolic.   Road movie works very well here.  The scenery was fantastic, great cinematography.”

“Having been a fan of Donovan as a kid and especially the song used in this movie, it was so good to hear it in this movie and so appropriate.  The women were trying to catch the wind and deal with loss of one sort or another.”

“The many layers of the concept of loss are woven so cleverly that a viewer who wants to stay on the surface can enjoy the fabulous acting and scenery: yet others who enjoy digging deeper will be well satisfied with the metaphors of gradual loss…”

“Yeah!  A road trip for women of a certain age and they even kick ass!  As a woman of a certain age, myself, I really loved this film.  Nicely developed characters in a story filled with humor and touches of pathos.  Where can I get that special screech for my phone?”

“Preposterous!”

“Why do you think that women will appreciate a poor film just because it is about women?  Poor script.   I did not believe the motivation of the main character.  Why did she even show up at the memorial service?  As a 50 plus woman, I would not identify with any of those characters!  However, the film had good acting and cinematography.”

“A very sweet movie!”

“A sweet sentimental film.  Although very predictable, I liked it.  It was great to see these women of a certain age aging naturally and showing themselves.  A lovely travelogue makes me want to do a trip.  Why was the music done in Prague?  I couldn’t believe how many people were involved in this film.”

“Very trite and unbelievable.”

“A boring never ending film.  The plot was very obvious.  A bomb!  A chick flick not for guys!”

“A trite and contrived fantasy chic flick.”

“Boring, boring and boring, but the scenery was nice.”

“Well this film has some beautiful landscape.  However, very predictable and sentimental.”

“It may be a chick flick, but I loved it.  It had great lines.”

“Great cast.  Nice blend of sad and funny.”

“A true chick flick for all of us older women.  Lovely movie, but could have been better.”

“Fabulous casting, acting and setting.  A mature and warm approach to this genre.  Enjoyable, touching and wonderful!”

“I loved it!  Kathy Bates, right on!”

“Absorbing, well done, well acted and very enjoyable film.  Three red hats!”

“Soft, but passing.”

“Very well shot, good pace, but story was a little predictable.”

“One of the worst films I’ve seen!”

“Aside from the bad print Christine Baranski is such a great bitch.”

“To call this an embarressment would be an understatement.  Why and how are films like this made?”

“Great chic flick!  Engaging, charming and delightful.  Gorgeous scenery.  Wonderful soundtrack.  So refreshing a chic flick with understanding, compassionate men! And once again a special guest thank you.”

“I was not expecting much from yet another road picture…even with such a sterling cast.  Wow! I was blown away (excuse the unintentional pun).  The beauty, inside and out, of Joan Allen, Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange was perfect, breathtaking, tender and heartbreaking.  My mom, or at least 75% of her is still sitting in a sealed black box.  We are slowly scattering her in places she loved and places where she’ll nourish the earth and places where we love to visit.  Thank you, thank you for bringing sexy women of a certain age to us in a funny and heartfelt and familiar feeling medium.”
